THE KARNATAKA CO-OPERATIVE POULTRY FEDERATION LIMITED, BANGALORE is REGISTERED UNDER KARNATAKA CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT 1959 and RULES 1960 vide No.OTS / 144 / HOT / 20768 / 94-95 Dated 15.3.1995.
The FEDERATION is affiliated to Government of Karnataka.
The Composition, Objectives, Functions, Terms and Conditions of the Federation are as follows:-
The Federation is Federal Apex institution which has two-tier approach to the Co-operative Poultry Farming, namely the Primary Co-operative Poultry Societies at the root level and Federation at the state level.
Administration of the Federation is being carried out as per the Provisions of Bylaw & by the Managing Director (Joint Director) and 56 other officials and staff deputed by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary and 1 ARCS of Department of Cooperation and their salary is being paid by the Government of Karnataka.
105 Primary Cooperative Poultry Societies are affiliated to the Federation.
The Federation has the Jurisdiction of entire State of Karnataka in terms of membership.

The Federation has Board of Management consisting of 21 Directors out of which 13 are elected, 01 is Government Nominee, 04 Ex-Officio, 01-Managing Director and 02-Functional Directors (Optional)
At Present 19 Directors are in the Board of Management as detailed below:
Above 13 Directors being elected among the board of directors of the respective Primary Poultry Cooperative Societies, registered in the respective Revenue Divisions.
Professional Directors consists of:
The board can co-opt two directors to the board viz., one director from the filed of Banking, Management, Finance and one director in filed of Poultry Production, Management, Marketing and allied profession.
Provided that the professional and functional directors shall not form apart of quorum and they are not eligible for being elected as office bearers of the Board. (Presently Functional Directors posts are vacant)
